2022 Single Draft Horse Pull

A nice day for a Draft Horse Pull !
All the horse's have to be weighed before the pull.
There were three classes; Haflingers, (up to 15 hands) Lightweight, (up to 1700 lb) Heavyweight (over 1700 lb)

Handing out the trophies is Bill Scofield the president of the Draft Horse Club.
Our first pull was a Haflinger / Draft Pony;
Dean, weigh in at 1127#, pulled 2200 driven by Dillion Narrigan. Receives a Trophy and a Blue Ribbon.
Lightweights;
Peru, came in first weight in at 1580# pulled 4300# driven by Aaron Fields Receives Trophy and a Blue Ribbon
Second place;
Rose, driven by Kadny Miller Receives a Red Ribbon
Third place;
Burt, driven by Dillon Narrigan Receives a Yellow Ribbon
Fourth place;
Heidi, driven by Phil Miller Received a Silver/White Ribbon
Heavyweights;

Stone Mills Open Draft Horse Show
It was a cloudy cold windy day. The wind chill factor must of been 30 below in the morning,
the horse just loved it. The sun came out in the afternoon and it ended up binging a nice day for our show.

We had had a nice day for our picnic, the sun shined and quite warm.
Thank You Tom and Nancy for hosting the picnic,
Nancy for cooking our hamburgers and hotdogs,

We through cin a 50/50 and Rick Willer won $15.00
and action off hotdog and hamburgers buns Bill Schfieds got them for $3.00.

This year Jenny Hatch is handing out the ribbons her dad Tim Hatch
(past away) and for many years had organized the show. Now Jenny has big shoes to fill. Thank You Jenny you did a great job !
This show was a timed show. Each driver and there team has to drag a log down around trees then around a stump back down the trees without knocking down a tree or stump. There are lines on each side of the course if a team steps out they are disqualified.
